1) Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data when you use:
- our website at talestudio.ai (the "Website"), and
- the Tale mobile application and related services (the "App"),
together, the "Service".
2) What we collect
A) Website (landing page)
We do not offer email capture or newsletter signup on the Website. The Website may still collect limited technical data automatically (e.g., IP address, device/browser info, and basic logs) to serve the page, secure the service, and troubleshoot issues.
If you contact us by email, we will receive the information you send (e.g., name, email address, and message content).
B) App (Tale)
Depending on features you use, we may collect:
(i) Account/session info
- If you create an account later: email, sign-in tokens, and account identifiers.
- If you use guest sessions: a session identifier and related state (to keep drafts/projects working).
(ii) Content you provide
- Text inputs, template selections, and settings.
- Uploaded files (e.g., images, videos, audio, masks, reference assets) and related metadata (file type, size, timestamps).
(iii) Project + generation data
- Projects, storyboard/shot data, generation jobs, outputs (renders/exports), and status history.
(iv) Device & usage data
- App diagnostics (crash logs), device/OS/app version, language, and usage events (e.g., feature usage) to improve reliability and performance.
3) How we use personal data
We use personal data to:
- Provide and operate the Service (uploads, generations, renders/exports).
- Maintain drafts/projects and return outputs to you.
- Secure the Service, prevent abuse, and debug issues.
- Improve product performance and user experience.
- Communicate with you for support and important service messages.
- Comply with applicable laws and enforce our terms.
4) AI processing and service providers
To generate outputs, we may process your inputs and may share necessary data with service providers that help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting, storage, analytics, crash reporting, and AI model providers). They process data on our instructions, for the purposes described in this policy.
We do not sell your personal data.
5) Legal bases (Thailand PDPA)
Where required, we rely on appropriate legal bases under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), such as:
- performing a contract (providing the Service),
- legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving the Service),
- consent (where required, e.g., certain optional features),
- compliance with legal obligations.
6) Disclosure of personal data
We may disclose personal data:
- To processors/service providers that help operate the Service.
- To comply with legal requests or protect rights, safety, and security.
- In a business transaction (merger, acquisition, restructuring), subject to appropriate protections.
7) Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including to:
- keep your projects/outputs available,
- maintain security and prevent abuse,
- meet legal and accounting obligations.

8) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9) Cross-border transfers
Our providers may process data outside Thailand. Where applicable, we take steps intended to ensure appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers consistent with PDPA expectations.
10) Your rights (Thailand PDPA)
Subject to PDPA conditions and exceptions, you may have rights to:
- request access to and a copy of your personal data,
- request deletion/erasure or anonymization in certain cases,
- and other rights described in PDPA (Chapter on data subject rights).

11) Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required by applicable law). If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us.
12) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We'll change the "Effective date" and, if changes are material, provide additional notice.
